About us

TORTA began with a simple moment—Simona baking her first cake for her little brother. What started as a family gesture became a lasting passion for creating desserts that bring people together.

Originally from Slovakia, our path took us through hospitality and pastry work in Switzerland and the Czech Republic, shaped by modern European refinement and intentional design. Mount Desert Island became home for its coastal beauty and the community we love.

Today we create cakes and dessert tables inspired by seasonal Maine flavors—modern, personal, and made to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.
